NAEA POSITION STATEMENTS
NAEA's Platform and Position Statements relate to national issues or topics of interest to the profession and/or eld of visual arts education and advance the mission of the organization.

NAEA Position Statements (Alphabetical Order)
NAEA has established six platforms within the art education profession. Position statements are placed in the most pertinent platform.
These position statements are written by content experts and reviewed by the membership at large. Adopted statements are initially reviewed at the three year mark and subsequently every five years to ensure the terminology, application, and stance, as well as the topic itself, remains relevant.

ArtScan at a Glance summarizes state policies for arts education identified in statute or administrative code for all 50 states, plus the District of Columbia and the Department of Defense Education Activity. Information is based on a comprehensive search of state education statute and codes on each state’s relevant websites. Complete results from this review are available in an online searchable database at aep-arts.org.
